How do we find a clear signal through all the voices in the news, in social media, in our heads? How do we listen beyond words so that we can understand meaning? How do we hear above the noise so that we can participate in the higher level order emerging from the chaos all around us?
Mindfulness practices can help us develop control of our conscious awareness. This in turn enables us to direct our attention much like we might direct an antenna. Through the practice of mindfulness, we learn to intentionally adjust our attention in order to find and receive meaningful signals, even in the midst of our noisy modern lives.
